Thursday Evening Community Health Huddle (TECHH)
IIT Bay Area Alumni and South Asian Heart Center partner to present "TECHH", a monthly community virtual health series for you and your friends to participate in from home. Join our expert faculty to discuss recommendations for health strategies with a new topic each month. Ask questions, hear other community members, and feel inspired to take advantage of the opportunity to work on our health and the health of those we influence.

UPCOMING HUDDLES:

SEP 30, 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm PST, THURSDAY

Beyond COVID 19: Where do we go from here?

What is the current state of COVID? Where are we with COVID-19 cases and vaccinations in our county and at El Camino Health?

What more do we know about this virus now – the disease mechanism, progression, symptoms, and timeline? What are the most common lingering symptoms of COVID-19? Do you become immune to COVID-19 after recovering from it?

How do the vaccines work? What is the difference in the cellular mechanism of the Pfizer/Moderna (messenger RNA) vs. the J&J (DNA) vaccines technologies? Are the vaccines as safe as they tell you they are?

How can we better manage coronavirus symptoms at home and prevent hospitalization? What do we know about the transmissibility of the Delta variant? How effective are the vaccinations against Delta? Will boosters help?

Join us for a special Huddle dedicated to COVID this month. Our panel expert Dr. Daniel Shin is a board-certified infectious disease physician at El Camino Health and the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. He is the hospital’s medical director for quality and patient safety.
